OUR HAPPY HEADQUARTERS IS MY PLACE TO REFLECT ON MARRIAGE, THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF MOMMYHOOD, ALL THINGS DIY AND ANYTHING ELSE THAT COMES TO MIND. IT’S MY OPPORTUNITY TO ARCHIVE THE HISTORY OF OUR LITTLE FAMILY AND TO SHOW THE WORLD ALL THE AMAZING THINGS GOD IS DOING IN OUR LIVES. IT’S MY PLACE TO WRITE FREELY, WITH NO RESTRAINTS. AND IT’S MY THERAPY OF SORTS. I HOPE TO CAPTIVATE YOU AND KEEP YOU AROUND, SO YOU CAN JOIN US ON THIS ADVENTURE WE CALL LIFE.
My name is Sarah Head. I’m a Louisiana girl who has recently moved to the good (and big) ole’ state of Texas. First things first, I love God. I have a serious relationship with Him and believe that He is THE answer to life’s most difficult questions.
My most favorite adventure thus far started 4 years ago when I married the love of my life, my sweet Trice. The most godly, gentle, loving, GENIUS, passionate, patient man that I have ever known to walk the earth. He is an incredibly talented lighting designer (think flashing lights at concerts, etc.) and does freelance lighting work for companies and events all over the nation. He and I are passionate about stopping human trafficking, seeing people have thriving marriages, adoption, global missions and seeing people experience true FREEDOM, whether it be freedom from bad decisions, freedom from debt, or actual physical freedom from the chains of human trafficking.
We also both crave adventure… like the traveling and hiking type of adventure. But God has had a different idea of adventure for us. In our short 4 years of being married, we have yet to climb Mt. Everest or live abroad for a year, but we have moved 5 times, started two businesses, flipped a house, and brought into the world the most adorable, hilarious, rambunctious, adventuresome little boy, Emerson.
Which brings me to my second favorite adventure. Our precious Emerson. Red-headed, blue-eyed, just over 2 1/2 feet tall, obsessed with dancing and constantly keeping this Momma on her toes. He came into this world in August of 2011 after a difficult birth and our lives have never been the same. He challenges me daily to be a better person, and reminds me to slow down and enjoy the simple things in life. He does not have to be in a crazy, different setting to experience adventure. To him, LIFE itself is an adventure. And I want to learn from him and just enjoy the ride instead of always looking for the new place to go or the new thing to do.
We are also excited to add the 4th munchkin to our family this coming November. We recently found out we are having a girl and are SO EXCITED!
Outside of being a mom and wife, I love to decorate, play the piano, do DIY projects, travel, meet new people, cook, entertain and stay physically fit. I can hardly write a text message or blog post without inserting a smiley :) at least five times, and I like pearls better than diamonds. I can befriend a stranger almost instantaenously, and green is my favorite color. In fact, I’m pretty obsessed with green. I have green bowls, green cups, green decor, green walls and I even painted my piano green. I’m obsessed with archiving our family history, and look forward to being able to use this space to share our life’s stories, our creative ideas and the lessons we have learned in our short 20-something years here on Planet Earth.
